Hi, it’s Julia!
Welcome to my little corner of the internet — and honestly, my heart is so full writing this. I’ve wanted a space where I can slow down, breathe for a minute, and share the parts of my life and business that don’t always make it onto Instagram: the cozy moments, the chaos, the creativity, and the heart behind every stitch. So if you’re here reading this… thank you! It already feels like we’re sitting down with coffee together.
We’re heading straight into my favorite season — Thanksgiving, Christmas, decorating, baking, twinkle lights, and yes… peak sweatshirt season. This time of year always brings out the softest, most grateful version of me. I love the magic of it all: the smells, the sounds, the traditions, and the way everything feels a little warmer and closer.
And on the business side? This is the season that reminds me why I started Threads by Julia in the first place. Every custom order, every holiday sweatshirt, every DM from someone excited to gift a piece I made — it all hits different this time of year. What you don’t always see are the quieter moments behind the scenes:
• late-night stitching with a Christmas movie playing
• stepping over piles of thread colors trying to find “the perfect red” (y’all don’t understand, there’s at least 10 different reds and all of them are for some very specific vibe)
• packaging orders while feeling genuinely grateful that people support what I create
• and those little moments where I stop and think, “Wow… this is really my life.”
That’s what I want this blog to capture — the real stuff. The heart. The messy middle. The small business highs and lows. The cozy life moments. The holiday magic. All of it.
I hope this becomes a space that feels comforting, honest, inspiring, and a little bit like home. I’m so excited to share more of this season — and more of myself — with you.
Thanks for being here. Truly.
Let the cozy, chaotic, creative holiday season begin. 🎄✨
